Alma Residents Asked To Continue Conserving Water

Water is pumping again in the Village of Alma.

Mayor Andrew Casey says last night’s lightning storm caused a pump failure, and they were left without the ability to pump water for several hours.

A post of the Village’s Facebook says it is now working again, but it will take time to build capacity in the reservoir.

They are continuing to ask residents to continue conserving water where they can.

A boil water order will remain in place until further notice.

Residents should bring their water to a rolling boil for at least one minute before consuming it.
