The garage at a business at 424 Highlandview Road in Moncton was damaged in a fire earlier today.
Moncton Fire Platoon Chief Charlie Melanson says light smoke was reported coming from the building at around 10am Thursday morning.
He says there were concerns because of reports of chemicals inside.
When they arrived they found fire in the back wall, but were able to quickly extinguish the flames before they spread.
Around 15 firefighters helped to battle the flames.
Melanson says no one was hurt and the fire is under investigation.
