Youth Impact Receives $15,000

A donation from the Bell Let’s Talk Community Fund will benefit a local program for homeless youth.

Youth Impact is receiving $15,000.

This will support Youth Quest Central, a drop in centre in Moncton for youth between the ages of 16 and 24. It offers services such as support for addiction, employment, education, and housing. It also provides access to basic services such as food, clothing, showers and laundry.

Over 450 youth who are homeless or at-risk of becoming homeless are expected to access the drop-in centre in the coming year.

Executive Director for Youth Impact Jeunesse Mel Kennah says “This grant will be dedicated to furthering solutions for youth at Youth QUEST Central, and will help the organization level the playing field by reducing risk factors that have impeded healthy development, providing increased opportunity for youth who are struggling with addictions, mental health and precarious living circumstances.”
