Main Street Expected To Be Discussed At Moncton City Council Meeting

Moncton City Council is expected to vote tonight on whether or not to immediately revert Main Street back to two lanes.

It was reduced to one way and a bicycle lane was added at the end of June, in an effort to allow businesses room for larger patios under COVID-19 restrictions.

It was expected to be in effect until September 30th.

Around twenty-six unhappy businesses signed a petition in an effort to have the Main Street return to it original state.

Downtown Moncton Centreville-Inc wrote a letter to the City on behalf of the businesses.
