Hundreds Keep Cool At New Centennial Park Pool

Hundreds have already checked out the new Centennial Park Pool.

It officially opened on July 5th.

City of Moncton Spokesperson Isabelle Leblanc says there were around 400 people per day on the first weekend alone.

Since then, on the warmer days, there has been the maximum of 200 swimmers at one time.

Leblanc says morning lap swims have also been full every day. They are held from 7am until 10am.

Lap swims are now available at the East End pool as well. It officially opened on Wednesday last week.

Swimmers are required to sign up in advance under COVID-19 restrictions.
