A 68-year-old man from Richibucto-Village has been arrested after RCMP seized a number of illegal items from a home in the community.
Mounties carried out a search warrant on Pirogue Road last week and found over 300,000 unstamped cigarettes, more than 70 cases of contraband beer and some Canadian currency.

The man was arrested and later released on a promise to appear in court on December 6th.
He is expected to face charges under the under the Excise Act, the Liquor Control Act and the Criminal Code.
Mounties encourage anyone with information about illegal activity to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
