The mayor of St. John’s, Newfoundland had to swallow his pride on Monday.
Danny Breen was spotted on social media wearing a Moncton Magic jersey as he presided over a city council meeting.

Breen lost a bet to Moncton mayor Dawn Arnold who challenged him to wear the jersey if the Magic beat the St. John’s Edge in the National Basketball League championship.
Arnold thanked him for being such a good sport.
The Magic captured the NBLC Cup after just two seasons of play and it was also the first time a Moncton basketball franchise captured the championship.
