The Environmental Trust Fund will be investing a total of 8.4 million dollars in projects.
Jeff Carr is the Environment and Local Government Minister.
He says the Environmental Trust Fund has supported thousands of projects over the last 30 years.
They are putting nearly 7.5 million dollars towards over 230 environmental initiatives.
An additional 900 thousand will be invested in province-wide projects.
Priority areas for the fund will be protecting the environment, increasing environmental awareness, managing waste, addressing climate change and building sustainable communities.
