The Province announced $300,000 in funding to help arts groups put on touring productions.
The money is part of the updated Touring and Presenting Program.
Premier Brian Gallant was in Saint John this morning to make the announcment at the ArtsLinkNB annual forum.
He says investing in arts and culture is one great way to grow the economy and create jobs.
Gallant says the government believes the arts to be a worthwhile investment becaues the creative class gives us a sense of pride and accomplishment while creating an international profile for the province.
Dr. Kathyrn Hamer of ArtsLinkNB says government investment in the arts will spur economic investment.
