2025 Everyday Hero Campaign Celebration

Community support strengthens local programs through the 2025 Everyday Hero campaign across Southeastern New Brunswick

Across Southeastern New Brunswick, people showed up for one another through the 2025 Everyday Hero campaign. Together, the community raised $2,302,940.41 in support of United Way of Greater Moncton and Southeastern New Brunswick’s Community Fund.

Individuals, workplaces, and community partners came together to support 16 local charities and programs working every day in our community.

This support is helping ensure local organizations can continue their work and deliver support where it is needed most.

More than 100 guests gathered at United Way’s annual Campaign Celebration to recognize the work happening across the region and the collective effort behind it.

“Across our region, there are people showing up every day to support others,” said Debbie McInnis, CEO of United Way of Greater Moncton and Southeastern New Brunswick. “This campaign helps ensure the agencies and programs we support can continue that work with the support of a community that stands alongside them.”

Through United Way’s Community Fund, support is directed to local charities and programs working on the front lines of some of the most pressing issues in our community. These include youth mental health and safe spaces, food security, housing, and programs that help people move forward.

In the past year, this work helped 6,041 children and youth connect with supportive adults and supported 4,519 children and youth in gaining the skills and assets they need to handle life’s challenges. At the same time, 1,628 people began to move from poverty to possibility. Altogether, more than 86,000 lives were changed across our region.

United Way brings people, workplaces, and community partners together to strengthen this network of support. By raising the funds, local organizations can focus on delivering support where it is needed most.

“When a community comes together like this, it creates stability and opportunity,” said Claire Dooley, Resource Development Manager. “It means people have somewhere to turn, and organizations have the support they need to keep showing up.”

As this work continues, the focus remains on supporting local partners, strengthening the community, and ensuring people have access to the care and connections they need close to home.

Together, we can meet urgent needs, fund innovative solutions, and build a stronger, more equitable community for everyone.

About United Way of Greater Moncton and Southeastern New Brunswick

United Way of Greater Moncton and Southeastern New Brunswick works with local charities, programs, and community partners to address the region’s most pressing social issues, including poverty, mental health, housing, and youth supports. Through its Community Fund, the organization supports 16 local charities and programs, ensuring resources are directed where they can have the greatest impact close to home.

With more than 70 years of experience, United Way brings together individuals, workplaces, governments, and community organizations to strengthen systems of support and improve outcomes for people across Southeastern New Brunswick. All funds raised locally are invested back into the community.

In addition to funding local partners, United Way also leads and delivers initiatives that respond directly to identified community needs. This includes serving as the lead agency for Integrated Youth Services in Moncton, which brings together mental health, employment, peer support, and primary care for youth in one accessible location.

United Way also supports individuals experiencing homelessness through peer supported housing in partnership with Salvus Clinic and improves access to essential services through programs such as 211 and the Affordable Transportation Program. The Seniors’ Meal Program provides more than 1,000 meals each week to vulnerable, low-income seniors, helping ensure consistent access to nutritious food and regular connection.

Together, this work reflects United Way’s role as both a funder and a community partner, working collaboratively to strengthen services, respond to emerging needs, and build a more connected and resilient region.
