Another great fundraising year for the United Way of Greater Moncton and Southeast New Brunswick.
They raised almost $2.3 million thanks to donations from 164 workplaces, and 6,920 individuals.
Campaign Chair Lawrence Forbes says that’s a great amount of money for a community the size of Moncton.
“But it was due to the effort of all the companies that are involved, and people working within those companies with payroll deducation and just downright contributions,” says Forbes.
Forbes says all the money raised in the community, stays in the community.
The United Way helps many organizations across the province including kindergarten breakfast programs, The Boys and Girls Clubs and other groups.
