Boil water order ends in parts of Dieppe

A boil water order for parts of Dieppe has now been lifted.

A water main break forced the order earlier this week for residents living from 2135 to 2685 Amirault, at 16 and 19 Léonide, as well as all residents of André, Bayview, Carter, Dover, Florida, Freda, Jessica, J.F. Bourgeois, Joanne, Jocelyn, Kristian, Marco, Raphaël, Sophie, Telex, Ulysse, Vézina streets and Domaine Dover Estates.

Residents are asked to take the following steps now that the order has been lifted

· Run cold faucets 10 to 15 minutes.

· Hot water faucet should be run for at least 15 minutes for a 40-gallon hot water tank and at least 30 minutes for an 80-gallon hot water tank or larger.

· Water dispensers from refrigerators should be flushed with at least one litre of water before consumption.

· Empty automatic ice dispensers and discard any ice made during the order and for an additional 24-hour period to ensure that any potential contaminated water has been discarded.

If you notice a lack of water pressure or discoloured water, contact the City of Dieppe.
