Just over 50 people came for the first night of a new warming centre in the City of Moncton
It has been set up at the former fire station on Assomption Boulevard and will be open each night until March.
Up to 60 homeless people plus volunteers can use the warming centre at one time.
Donations are always needed, including things like towels, blankets, hand warmers, winter clothing and emergency supplies, bed rolls, mats, and pillows.
They can be dropped off at YMCA Reconnect on War Veterans Avenue.
