11 Killed In Pittsburgh Synagogue Shooting

Officials say 11 people are dead after a gunman opened fire at a synagogue in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Six others were hurt in the incident, including four police officers.

U.S. President Donald Trump describes the “wicked act of mass murder” as “pure evil”.

“This was an anti-Semitic act,” Trump said. “You wouldn’t think this would be possible in this day and age, but we just don’t seem to learn from the past.”

“Our minds cannot comprehend the cruel hate and the twisted malice that could cause a person to unleash such terrible violence during a baby-naming ceremony.”

The suspect has been identified by local media outlets as 46-year-old Robert Bowers.

He is reportedly facing more than two dozen charges, including multiple counts of hate crimes.
