Worker Injured At Asphalt Manufacturing Plant

There’s no word on the condition of an employee injured at a business on Bill Slater Drive.

Emergency officials were called to the asphalt manufacturing plant at around 8:20 last night.

Moncton Fire Platoon Chief Dennis Dollemont says, “There wasn’t really a fire. It was a flash due to an ignition of a petroleum product.”

The employee was taken to hospital with undetermined injuries.

Firefighters were on scene for just over a hour.

Worksafe NB is investigating.
