He holds several key portfolios but he is not seeking re-election this fall.
In a statement on his Facebook page, Attorney General Serge Rousselle says with a heavy heart, he has made the personal decision to not reoffer in the upcoming election.
Rousselle, who is also Minister of Service New Brunswick and Environment and Local Government, says it was a very difficult decision to make, but because of his passion and full engagement in his work he decided with his partner that in the spirit of more balanced life it was better to make this choice.
He thanks everyone from the riding of Tracadie-Sheila for their support and confidence in him and Premier Gallant for giving him the opportunity to serve in cabinet and moves some important files forward.
Rousselle says he wants to help the Liberal party and the next candidate in his beautiful riding but he will return to something related to his profession, the law.
