Discount retailer XS Cargo is closing its doors in Moncton.
The Mapleton Road location is one of 50 stores shutting down in a nationwide liquidation sale.
In a statement, the Tiger Capital Group – which is overseeing the going-out-of-business sale – says restructuring the company was not a viable option.
XS Cargo had filed for protection against its creditors in July.
The company says it will be offering even deeper discounts to customers with some items offered up to 40 percent off the lowest ticket price.
91-9 News reached out to the Moncton store where a manager told us 12 employees will be affected when the store closes in about five weeks or so.
