A man had to be rushed to hospital this morning after an workplace accident at the Midas Muffler on Mountain Road.
Emergency crews responded at around 9:30am.
Moncton Fire Platoon Chief Rob Brine says the man suffered serious injuries after sparks from a metal cutter ignited fumes from an oil tank and caused an explosion.
The man suffered injuries to his legs and midsection.
He was taken to hospital, but there’s no word on his condition.
WorkSafe NB has been called in to investigate.
