A woman who stole more than 13-hundred dollars from her former employer has been ordered to pay back the money and will spend five months on house arrest.
Jackie Marie Stokes was sentenced in Moncton court yesterday and will also spend 18 months on probation.
Stokes pleaded guilty to stealing the money over a one year period from the Dieppe Walmart store where she worked for 13 years.
She told court she used the money to pay for her sick husband’s medication.
