Woman killed in southeastern N.B. crash

One person has died after a two-vehicle crash in southeastern New Brunswick, according to police.

First responders were called to the scene on Route 11 in Cocagne shortly before 11 p.m. Saturday.

Investigators believe a vehicle travelling southbound crossed the centre line and hit a northbound vehicle.

The driver of the northbound vehicle, a 51-year-old woman from Saint-Antoine, died at the scene.

Police said the driver of the other vehicle suffered what were believed to be serious injuries.

A section of Route 11 was closed for several hours but has since reopened.

Investigators are looking to speak with anyone who may have witnessed the crash who has dash camera footage.
