Winter Officially Arrives In New Brunswick

Winter has officially arrived in the Maritimes.

The winter solstice occurred at 12:48 this morning Atlantic Time and marks the shortest day and longest night of the year.

But after today, the days will start getting longer again.

The first day of the season has brought some fresh snow to Southern New Brunswick.

But Environment Canada is calling for milder weather as we near the holidays with a high of 9 degrees on Christmas Eve Day and 8 degrees on Christmas Day.
