Will AC/DC Concert Come At A Cost To Taxpayers?

The AC/DC concert on Magnetic Hill this summer will cost Moncton taxpayers, but at this point nobody knows how much.

We do know that the provincial government is not investing in the event.

Mayor George LeBlanc says he can’t say how much the city is spending because it would tip his hand in a very competitive regional concert market.

He says, “The City of Moncton will be making a contribution towards the cost of this concert. We want to remain competitive in the industry and we want to have a concert this year on the Hill.”

Leblanc believes the September 5th concert will bring between 8 and 10 million dollars into the Metro Moncton economy.
