Update: Newfoundland wildfire contained, evacuation order remains

A wildfire that was out-of-control is now contained, according to the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador.

The fire has prompted a state of emergency in eastern Newfoundland, with evacuation orders in place.

The order was issued Wednesday night in Adams Cove, which is in Conception Bay and remains in effect due to safety concerns.

Around 45 structures have been impacted with no reports of any injuries, fatalities or missing people.
