Wildcats Announce New Assistant Coach

The Moncton Wildcats have named Nick MacNeil the team’s newest Assistant Coach.

MacNeil joins the organization with his fair share of hockey experience, including some local roots.

A native of Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, MacNeil played his QMJHL career with the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles, recording 181 points in 254 regular-season contests.

MacNeil was a member of the University of New Brunswick’s Varsity Reds, winning two CIS University Cup Championships.

The new assistant bench boss spent three seasons in the ECHL with the Bakersfield Condors and the Norfolk Admirals.

MacNeil joins a coaching staff that already includes Head Coach Dan Lacroix and Assistant Coach Josh Hepditch.

The former Screaming Eagle will get his first look at the squad when the Moncton Wildcats begin training camp on August 16.
