The 2021 federal election is only weeks away, and Canadians may now have a better idea of their options on the ballot.
The deadline for nominations passed on Monday afternoon, but Elections Canada may only finalize the list of candidates on September 1.
For now, the riding of Moncton-Riverview-Dieppe boasts five candidates that are hoping to represent the electoral district in the House of Commons.
- Lorilee Carrier, People’s Party of Canada
- Richard Dunn, Green Party of Canada
- Serge Landry, New Democratic Party
- Ginette Petitpas Taylor, Liberal Party of Canada
- Darlene Smith, Conservative Party of Canada
Canadians head to the polls on September 20, but there will be opportunities to vote before election day. Advance polling will be available for four days starting on September 10. Voters can also submit their ballot through the mail or at an Elections Canada office.
