White Christmas Guaranteed In Southeast NB

Southeast New Brunswick is pretty much guaranteed to have a White Christmas according to the Weather Network.

The official definition is having 2 centimetres of snow on the ground Christmas morning.

Meteorologist Kelly Sonnenburg says it actually hasn’t happened in a few years.

“You have to go back to 2013 for your last White Christmas. So it’s about time. I know a lot of people don’t love the snow but if there’s any time of year to have it, this is the time of year,” she notes.

Although rain is in the forecast for Christmas Eve, Sonnenburg says there won’t be enough to wash away all of the snow.

The Atlantic coast of Nova Scotia and the Pacific coast of British Columbia are the only two places in Canada not expecting a White Christmas this year.
