What Were NB’s Top Baby Names For 2018?

New Brunswick has released the top baby names for 2018 — and they’re quite similar to last year.

The top five names for girls this year were Emma, Olivia, Charlotte, Amelia and Avery.

Last year, they were Emma, Olivia, Amelia, Charlotte and Sophia.

This year’s top boy names were William, Liam, Noah, Oliver and Jack.

Last year’s were Liam, Noah, Benjamin, Logan and William.

Preliminary results show there were 5,448 children born in the province this year — down by nearly 11-hundred compared to 2017.
