Ways to Stop Mindlessly Wasting Money!

Everyone’s wallet and purse feel to be getting tighter and tighter. In 2019, we need to curb our useless spending. Here are some ways to stop mindlessly spending your hard earned cash! It left us saying “We should’ve thought about that!”

ATM Fees

This one can be a killer. Some ATM fees can charge you upwards of $3.50 just to take money out. When using an ATM, make sure you are banking with your bank to avoid those pesky fees or if all else fails, cash is king.

 

Coffee


Coffee purchases, depending on how much you drink or purchase, can be a yearly expenditure of thousands of dollars. Try planning on splurging on your fancy coffee once a week. The rest of the time, Look at using a convenient home brewers or one-time single cup makers.

 

Impulse Buys


Stick to your list that you were supposed to write BEFORE you went shopping, and just close your eyes at the check out area to avoid those needless impulse purchases.

 

Not Packing Lunch


This can have a similar effect as the impulsive coffee purchases, but on a grander scale. Not packing a meal/meal prepping for your lunches is potentially setting yourself up to buy that lunch every day. An expense that could cost you thousands yearly. Plus, meal prepping gets us in a healthy routine.

Taking Your Kids To The Grocery Store


Have your list ready to go but know, that if you bring your little rugrat, that list won’t be suffice. If possible, get your spouse/friend to watch those little minions so you can get the real, affordable, healthy grocery list completed!

 

Water


This is easy. Just stop purchasing and drinking bottled water. Get a Brita. A water filtration system. Reusable bottles/thermos. Whatever you do, don’t buy bottled water that was taken from the mountains and then sold back to you. Hell, use one of those water type box paper things if all else fails.
