Volunteers To Fill Christmas Food Boxes Today

There will be a lot of hustle and bustle at The Moncton Coliseum today, as volunteers fill Christmas food boxes as a part of the Food Depot Alimentaire’s 30 Days of Community Giving.

Tonnes of food arrived yesterday, and the volunteers of all ages, from children to seniors, will arrive this morning ready to work.

The goal was to have 1750 boxes packed for families in Southeastern New Brunswick. There will also be 1750 boxes for a turkey donated through the annual Sue Stultz and Moncton Firefighters Association turkey drive.

Monetary donations are still needed. As of 11pm last night, the Food Depot Alimentaire had enough money to cover the cost of 1200 of the 1750 boxes.

Christmas box deliveries will be done tomorrow out of the Moncton Coliseum.
