Vitalite Health Network is reporting new growth in its workforce and primary‑care services in its quarterly update for the period ending December 2025.
Vitalite hired 59 physicians during the year and recorded 18 departures, resulting in a net gain of 41 doctors.
The increase was described as one of its strongest recruitment results in recent years.
The update also outlined progress in international recruitment.
More than 220 internationally recruited nurses have joined the network since early 2024, according to the report.
No information was provided on licensing status or retention.
Vitalite reported that it now supports 30 local family health teams across its four zones.
The teams are designed to improve access by bringing together physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses and other providers in a collaborative model.
Several service changes were highlighted in the report.
Outpatient ophthalmology clinics have resumed in Campbellton, offering Friday appointments for residents in the Restigouche region.
The update also pointed to expanded rheumatology care for the Pabineau First Nation, building on earlier work in Eel River Bar.
The quarterly report included community‑focused initiatives as well.
Vitalite noted that clinics for vulnerable residents operated in Edmundston and Grand Falls.
The report highlighted a recruitment program called Destination Restigouche, which continued to introduce future health‑care workers to the region.
These steps are part of its broader effort to improve patient flow, strengthen primary care and support long‑term planning across the health‑care system.
