Village Of Hillsborough Gets Funding For Water System Upgrade

A 1.6 million dollar upgrade to the wastewater collection system was announced today in Hillsborough.

Memramcook-Tantramar MLA Bernard LeBlanc says this will improve the reliability and performance of the wastewater colleciton system.

The project involves upgrading the three lift stations by installing new pumping equipment, and making improvements to buildings as well as electrical and mechanical systems.

Hillsborough Mayor Patrick Armstrong says the community will be well served by these upgrades which will bring the lift stations up to current standards.

Memramcook-Tantramar MLA Bernard LeBlanc says this project will create jobs and provide additional capacity for future growth in the village.
