Vehicle Collision Fatalities Continue To Rise In 2016 On RCMP Patrolled Roads

Statistics are showing RCMP patrolled provincial roads are more dangerous this year than in 2015.

Since January, there have been 55 fatal motor vehicle collisions in New Brunswick, totalling 60 fatalities.

The RCMP report alcohol and drugs were a factor in 20 of those deaths.

This compares to 2015 where there were 50 fatal collisions, and 51 total fatalities.

Last year, alcohol and drugs were believed to be a factor in 15 of those fatalities.
