Another city police officer on the stand this morning being cross examined by the defense at the murder trial of Dennis Oland.
Constable Ben MacLeod says the back door to the alleyway of the building where Richard Oland was murdered was open during his entire shift on July 7th of 2011, the day Oland’s body was discovered. Defense lawyer Gary Miller asked McLeod if it ever dawned on him that the killer may have left through that door.
MacLeod replied yes, he could have left through the door and any other door in the building.
Constable Micheal Horgan testified he found no evidence after searching the alleyway behind the building where Richard Oland had his office, the area around Renforth Wharf and Dennis Oland’s home on Gondola Point Road.
