We are in for yet another round of heavy rain in New Brunswick, according to Environment Canada.
A rainfall has been issued for much of southern New Brunswick, including:
- Fundy National Park
- Grand Manan and Coastal Charlotte County
- Moncton and Southeast New Brunswick
- Saint John and County
- St. Stephen and Northern Charlotte County
- Sussex – Kennebecasis Valley and Kings County
Forecasters said rainfall totals of 40 to 60 millimetres are expected, with potentially higher amounts in areas of heaviest rain.
The heaviest rain is expected on Saturday morning, especially if thunderstorms develop, according to Environment Canada.
“Similar events have caused hazardous driving conditions and localized flooding in low-lying areas,” the weather agency said in its statement.
The rain is expected to move in Friday night and continue through overnight Saturday.
Meanwhile, central New Brunswick is under a special weather statement, where up to 50 millimetres of rain could fall.
That includes Fredericton and Southern York County, Grand Lake and Queens County, Kent County, Kouchibouguac National Park, Oromocto and Sunbury County, Stanley – Doaktown – Blackville Area, and Woodstock and Carleton County.
