UPDATED: Missing 72-Year-Old Man Safely Located

New Brunswick RCMP say a man who went missing on his way home to Québec has been found.

Mounties confirmed Tuesday evening that the 72-year-old had been located safe and sound.

The elderly man left a home on Boom Road in Sunny Corner around 1 p.m. last Friday.

Police said he was intending to travel back to his home in Québec via Route 108 but had not made it.

The last confirmed sighting of the man was about an hour later when he left a gas station in Sunny Corner.

There was concern for his well-being as he has a medical condition that may cause him to become disoriented.

Police thanked the public for their assistance in locating the man.
