A spectacular car fire on Highway 2 overnight left a car destroyed.
The fire broke out at around 12:30 this morning, and Dieppe Fire responded to the scene.
Division Chief Marc Cormier says the 1970’s model Volkswagen Beetle was fully engulfed when they arrived.
It’s believed mechanical problems are to blame for the fire.
Cormier says the driver did exactly what he should have when he spotted smoke and smelled something burning. He immediately pulled over and got out.
No one was hurt.
