UPDATE: Police ID man in Dieppe jewellery theft

Mounties have identified a man they were looking for following a break-in and theft in Dieppe.

Police say a business on Paul Street was broken into sometime between 4 and 4:15 p.m. on Feb. 24.

Among the items taken were a gold and silver ring with diamonds, a gold bracelet, and a gold necklace.

Earlier this week, RCMP released surveillance footage photos of a man in connection with the investigation.

Police said Thursday that they have since identified the man and thanked the public for their help.

No word yet on possible charges or if the jewellery has been recovered.
