A man is dead after shots fired at a Miramichi retail store, resulted in a police chase.
Police responded to reports of gunfire at the retail store yesterday afternoon.
A chase began after a suspect fled in a vehicle.
Richibucto RCMP were called in to assist in the pursuit on Route 11.
A spike belt forced the vehicle to stop….and a shot was heard from inside the vehicle.
The 26 year old driver was rushed to hospital where he later died of his injuries.
A 41 year old woman who was a passenger, was arrested.
There’s no word yet on charges.
