UPDATE: Mounties identify individuals in Moncton assault

Mounties say they have identified two people in connection with an assault investigation in Moncton.

The incident happened at a parking lot near a business around the 2700 block of Mountain Road on the evening of July 12.

RCMP said a man assaulted another man before fleeing the scene in a newer-model white Mercedes-Benz C-class, which was believed to have an Ontario licence plate.

The victim, a 29-year-old man, took himself to the hospital and was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Mounties turned to the public on Monday to help identify two people involved with the file.

In an update on Tuesday afternoon, RCMP said they have since determined who they are and thanked the public for their help.
