UPDATE: Mounties identify attempted armed robbery suspect

RCMP say they have identified the suspect wanted in connection with an attempted armed robbery in Moncton.

A John Street business was held up at around 8:12 p.m. on Jan. 11 by an individual carrying a weapon.

RCMP say the suspect fled on foot empty-handed and no one was hurt.

Police released surveillance photos on Tuesday asking for the public’s help to identify the man.

In an update on Thursday, Mounties said the individual had been identified and thanked the public for their help.
