A scary situation in Fredericton forcing the lockdown on schools turning out to be nothing.
In a statement on their Facebook page, Fredericton police notifying the public that they have located a man believed to be carrying a weapon.
There was no threat.
The post includes a picture of an umbrella that the man was carrying and they point out that it resemble a weapon.
They want to thank the public for their help and for their patience as they carried out searches.
They add that they take all complains very seriously and their response was prompt and measured.
