UNB wins another national men’s hockey championship

The University of New Brunswick has captured the national men’s hockey championship for the second straight year.

The UNB Reds blanked l’Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières 4-0 in the University Cup final on Sunday.

Brady Gilmour, Cody Morgan, Austen Keating, and Isaac Nurse scored for UNB, which has now won the national title 10 times.

Sunday’s win caps off a perfect season for the UNB Reds, who did not lose a single game.

It also marks the ninth national title for the team under head coach Gardiner MacDougall.
