Two Week Adjournment For Accused Murderer

The case of a 20-year old man charged with second degree murder has been adjourned until later this month.

Michael Fallon is accused of murder, in relation to the assault of a fellow inmate at the Southeast Regional Correctional Centre in Shediac on October 26th.

33-year old Michael Adam Matchett was immediately taken to the Moncton Hospital but subsequently died from his injuries on November 3rd.

Legal aid lawyers Lisanne Maurice and Martin Goguen asked for the case to be put over until December 18th to give them time to review the evidence.

Fallon is also accused of assaulting an RCMP constable at the jail on November 7th.
