Two People From N.S. Killed In N.B. Crash

Two people from Nova Scotia have died following a two-vehicle crash in southeastern New Brunswick.

Mounties say the collision between a motorcycle and an SUV happened on Route 114 in Hopewell Hill just before 5 p.m. Sunday.

Investigators believe the SUV crossed the centre line into oncoming traffic and struck the motorcycle.

The two people on the motorcycle — a 54-year-old man and a 54-year-old woman, both from Dartmouth — died at the scene. The driver of the SUV was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

The highway was closed for about 10 hours but has since reopened.
