Two People Facing Several Charges After High Speed Chase In Fredericton

Two people are facing several charges after a high speed chase early this morning.

Officers saw the vehicle on Sunday, after it was reported stolen.

The driver of the vehicle refused to pull over when officers tried to stop him, which started a high speed chase for roughly four minutes before police called it off for safety reasons.

Police then spotted the vehicle roughly two hours later and tracked it to a residence, where both the driver and passenger took off on foot.

Police set up a perimeter and had the K9 unit search the area and the two were arrested shortly after.
