Two men sentenced following shooting incident in Moncton

It’s time behind bars for two men in connection with a Moncton shooting incident.

Twenty-seven-year-old Brandon Robert Winsor of Halifax was handed six years in prison. 33-year-old Robert Seary of Moncton was given two years.

Both are also prohibited from owning a firearm for ten years.

They were sentenced in June in connection with a shooting on MacAleese Lane in 2025.

RCMP say on April 19 at around 2:30 a.m., officers responded after an individual fired shots at a moving vehicle, striking both the driver and the passenger.

Both were later transported to the hospital with what were believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.

Winsor was originally charged with aggravated assault and several firearm charges.

Seary faced charges of discharging a prohibited firearm with intent and as an accessory after the fact.

Both were sentenced on June 24.
