Police are investigating after a crash in Shediac claimed two lives.
Just after 10:30 Thursday morning, Shediac RCMP responded to a call of a head-on collision on Highway 15.
Police believe the westbound car crossed the center line and collided with the eastbound SUV.
The car caught on fire as a result of the collision. The male driver and sole occupant of the car died at the scene.
The 64-year-old female passenger in the SUV also died at the scene.
The driver, a woman in her seventies was taken to hospital with what are considered to be non-life-threatening injuries.
Both women are from Ontario.
