TSB Investigates Cause Of VIA Train Derailment

Investigators from the Transportation Safety Board arrived in New Brunswick earlier today to follow up on Thursday’s train derailment.

Officials couldn’t say whether the investigation into the cause will take days or weeks.

A VIA Rail Train left the tracks yesterday afternoon at around 12:30, north of Moncton.

The 94 passengers and 15 crew onboard were shaken but uninjured.

VIA Rail has cancelled its trains on that line for today.
