Transport Truck Rear-Ends Fire Engine In Dieppe

A transport truck become part of an accident response scene on the Trans-Canada Highway in Dieppe early this morning.

While firefighters were responding to a rollover, Dieppe Fire Division Chief Marc Cormier says the transport rear-ended a fire engine.

He says driver distraction may have played a role.

“Just shows the importance of being aware when you are driving on the highway and being cautious of emergency vehicles responding to accidents,” Cormier notes.

Fortunately, no one was hurt in this accident or in the initial rollover that firefighters were responding to.
