Trans-Canada Highway crash leaves 1 dead

One person has died after a crash on the Trans-Canada Highway near Moncton.

RCMP say the single-vehicle crash happened in Boundary Creek around 10:15 p.m. Thursday.

The driver and lone occupant of the vehicle died at the scene from his injuries.

He has been identified as a 70-year-old man from Gordonsville, near Florenceville-Bristol.

Police are still piecing together the cause of the crash.
